Next Week: Transpositions Goes Domestic!

January 15, 2011

All next week, here at Transpositions we will be celebrating the domestic crafts.  Home, crafts, and domesticity are important elements of our everyday lives that are in desperate need of some theological reflection.  We have explored this topic a little bit, with a post on quilting here and a post on cooking there (Oh! and there too!), but we decided that more is needed.  So, we are devoting a week (hardly adequate) to this topic with a new post each day.  Here is our line-up:

Monday: Our featured artist for the week, Cosette Cornelius-Bates (aka Cosy), will consider the theological significance of making with wool.

Tuesday: Anna calls our attention to the delicious art of making preserves.

Wednesday: Jim offers some thoughts of the greatest cook book EVER!

Thursday: Jenn introduces us to the quilts of Gee’s Bend.

Friday: Emily Watkins will reflect on radical homemaking and the Christian life.
